Hi there and welcome to my page - I am so happy you’re here! My name is Jody and I’m the owner artist behind Paint and Hammer. My life is centred around my beautiful and funny daughter Lauryn and my loving husband Joe. Although I have a BA in International Development from the University of Guelph, and twenty plus years as a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant, I have always had a love for home decor and design. My Grandpa Tom introduced me to wood refinishing as a young girl and I have been hooked ever since, scooping up furniture and refinishing them whenever I could. In 2011, I sold my first piece of furniture and soon this hobby blossomed into an expanding furniture business, eventually allowing me to turn in my scrubs. Between brush strokes and furniture projects you will find me with a coffee in hand, , nose deep in a good book soaking up as much daylight as I can enjoying the great outdoors,
